Spring Break 16 & 17
Here’s the last few comics from this time period. By this stage they were painfully and inescapably meta, as it had become a “thing” that, whenever something of note (or something notably un-noteworthy) occurred, I would immediately draw it out and then pass the cartoon around for group approval.
One thing I often got harassed about was the cartoony mannerisms shown in the comics, which I always argued captured the spirit of the moment if not the actual physical gestures utilized. And then, one day…
And thus, art became reality, and I returned to normal journaling for the next couple years.
